Free Tips & Easy "How to" Instructions
Coffee is for some people, like myself, a necessity of life. Ok, I'm sure I could survive without it, but when the day begins with a good coffee/cappuccino, then I am ready for whatever may come afterwards, especially if there is more coffee/cappuccino along the way..
There are some very fancy coffee machines out there, and I have tried out a few, but this recipe is for that special coffee that our home is famous for. It doesn't require any special tools or machines, and it always tastes delicious. Preparation time is about 1-2 minutes.
Finding the right ingredients is not so easy, depending on where you live, however when you know what to pay attention to, you can perhaps find variations of these ingredients which are perfect for you.
I use the instant mix from Nescafe called "Cappuccino Classico", without added sugar. If you can't find this particular brand, try other cappuccino variations using the same preparation method as described hereafter.
Instead of regular milk, use vanilla milk. The brand I buy is especially thick which adds a nice touch to the cappuccino.
You can experiment with various types of vanilla milk as well, or, if you can't find any, use regular milk with vanilla sugar or syrup. In that case you would add 1 flat teaspoon of vanilla sugar (or vanilla syrup) to the cup.
Take an empty 250 ml coffee cup. Pour 150 ml vanilla milk (or the mentioned alternatives) and add 5 spoons of Nescafe Cappuccino Classico. Boil some water.
Now, there are 2 ways to do this. The better way is with a "milk frother", a small hand held, battery operated coffee mixer. They come really cheap and are very useful. If you are using a frother, then place it (still turned off) into the cup with the milk and coffee, then turn it on. Mix it all for about 10 seconds, then start adding the hot water little by little, while constantly stirring it all with the frother.
If you don't have the frother, you can do the same thing with a spoon. In that case, start stirring the milk and the coffee as soon as you put the water to boil. Once the water is boiled and the coffee is well mixed with the milk, start adding the hot water. Add very small amounts of water, but constantly, while continuously stirring it all with the spoon.
Enjoy your perfect cup of cappuccino!
