Free Tips & Easy "How to" Instructions
You already know why Earth needs your help, that's why you are here. So, straight to the tips!
Instead of the regular incandescent light bulbs, use compact fluorescent light bulbs. They use 60% less energy!
You don't have to freeze to death in the winter in order to help the planet, but reducing your heating temperature by only 2° will make a big difference!
As an added bonus, you might wind up sleeping better, not just because of your appeased conscience. Most people simply do sleep better when it's a bit cooler.
If you live in a country which gets hot in the summer, you might be using air-conditioning as a result. Don't worry, you don't have to give up the AC, just "keep it real"!
Meaning... it is summer.. it's hot outside.. so you use your AC to make it less hot inside, make it comfortable.
Don't be an AC-nut trying to make it cold in the summer. Simply turn your AC a few degrees up, and you may keep it and your conscience is still at ease (and you can still sleep well).
Most clothes can be washed with luke-warm water, but many people still use maximum temperatures. Not only that it isn't necessary, but warming up so much water takes up a lot of energy. So wash all your clothes, except the whites, with luke-warm water (40°C/104°F).
When you dry your clothes, dry them on the clothesline whenever you can. If possible, do it always that way. If that's not doable, for whatever incredibly important reason, then just do your best.

Additionally, when you buy paper products, make sure they are from recycled paper. Just think of all that toilet paper you use..
Just imagine if everyone on Earth planted only one tree... We would have over 6 billion more trees than we do now!
Not only do trees provide a shade, which helps in those hot summer days, but each single tree can absorb more than a ton of carbon dioxide during its lifetime.. Do the math.
Use green, meaning clean and renewable energy from now on. Solar energy or wind energy are the most famous examples, but there are also other forms of renewable energy sources, such as geothermal, hydropower, and various forms of biomass.
If you additionally make sure that your home is well insulated, you can not only reduce your energy bill, but save lots of carbon dioxide every year.
Avoid products that are heavily packaged, especially if that packaging includes lots of plastic.
In short, the food you buy and eat should be..
You love your car and want to keep it? Then make sure it is one of the good guys. If it's not, replace it as soon as possible.
Make sure the new vehicle is fuel efficient, or better yet, get a green car.
That does not mean to get whatever car, give it a green paint job and you're done!
There is a variety of "green cars" out there, like hybrids, electric cars, hydrogen or ethanol cars. If it's all too confusing, you can find out more here: GreenCar.com
