Free Tips & Easy "How to" Instructions
While your upper body probably gets more than its fair share of exercise on a daily basis, odds are you are less than satisfied with the look and feel of your lower body. Whether you are unhappy because you can't fit into the a particular piece of clothing or you just don't like the reflection that you see in the mirror, odds are you are on a quest to find a way to lose the weight. We all know that our hips and thighs are the first area where our bodies tend to accumulate the excess pounds, and it is also these areas that seem to be the hardest to lose the weight from as well. Here are three simple tips that can help you lose the weight in your hips and thighs so you can feel confident in your own body with the ability to fit into whatever clothes you choose.
First, get some exercise. While we all think of getting exercise as something we need to do at the gym or utilize a pricey piece of equipment for, the exercise market has changed drastically with the creation of the Nintendo Wii. While video games were once known as a form of exercise avoidance, the WII actually requires its users to get up off the couch and participate in the activities by swinging their arms or possibly even moving their entire body. Currently the Wii offers a few different exercise choices, with one of the most popular ones being the Wii Fit. This program requires the use of a weight sensitive board that can be used for a variety of different exercises with more movement games being created to work with this system. The Wii Fit offers users the ability to do yoga, strength training, and other aerobic activities such as running with the use of the Wii's controls. While you may be thinking it's not possible to get in shape via a video game system, then you may be shocked by the results you can obtain. Just don't be offended when the system makes shocked vocalization on initial weigh in, as this happens to nearly everyone unless you happen to weigh less than 100 pounds.
Second, consider shrinking the size of your dinner plate. The biggest problem most of us face is finding the best way to control our portion size. Most of us were taught to clean our plates and not throw any food away because the starving kids in any number of countries did not have access to the same amount of food so we better enjoy it.

Over the years portions have grown in size. This is especially evident when you go out to eat since most restaurants are trying to give you your monies worth. Instead of stopping when we feel full we keep eating until all the food is gone. While you may have no control over your portion size when you go out, you do when you eat at home. Instead of piling the food on a standard size dinner plate, opt for a smaller plate such as a salad plate or something similar.
The decrease in the plate's size prevents you from piling on too much food so you are less likely to overindulge and eat more calories than you need to in one sitting.
Lastly, consider taking the stairs at work. Whether you work on the first floor or the fifth, take the time to climb the stairs to get to your desk. While taking the elevator may seam like the easiest option, especially when you may be feeling exhausted due to a lack of sleep, climbing the stairs can actually help you lose weight and tone your hips and thighs because the muscle groups of these problem areas need to work the hardest. It also adds even more exercise to your daily routine and nothing can be better than that.
These are just a few of the tips that can help you lose the excess weight that has accumulated in your hips and thighs without the use of a magic pill. Keep your portions in check and consider using a video game system as an alternative to your boring exercise routine and you will be on your way to having the slim and shapely hips and thighs you have always dreamed of.
